Pineapple Curry


  1. Diced Pineapple (3 cups)
  2. Turmeric powder (1 tsp)
  3. Curry leaves
  4. Green Chilly (1 )
  5. Cooking oil (1 tbsp)
  6. Mustard seeds (1 tsp)
  7. Cummin seeds (2 tbsp)
  8. Curd (1/2 cup)
  9. Grated coconut (1/2 cup)
  10. Salt per taste


  1. Blend grated coconut, cummin seeds, curd and water, and keep it aside.
  2. Add turmeric to the pineapple and boil till it cooks. Add the split green chilly. Add the blended mixture into it and mix well.
  3. Cook the pineapple for another 10 minutes , add salt to it.
  4. Empty the pineapple curry in a bowl.
  5. For seasoning, heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds. When mustard seeds splutter, add the curry leaves.
  6. Pour this seasoning in the pineapple curry.

Pineapple curry is ready to be served hot with steamed rice.
